APEC CCHE 2013

Description:

On June 28-29, 2013 the Second International APEC Conference on Higher Education "Mobility of Higher Education in the APEC Region" (APEC CCHE APR'2013) was held. It consolidated success achieved at the First APEC Education Conference held in Vladivostok in July 2012 during Russia's Chairmanship in APEC. The conference was attended by official delegations from 12 countries of the APEC forum: Australia, Vietnam, Indonesia, China, Malaysia, Republic of Korea, Russia, USA, Thailand, Taiwan, Chile, Japan. Moreover, the conference was attended by experts from Hong Kong, Singapore, France (the participant was on an internship in Japan and decided to come to Vladivostok for the APEC conference). Thus, representatives of 15 states of the Asia-Pacific region, America and Europe took part in the conference.

Results:

At APEC CCHE APR'2013, the following areas of cross-border educational cooperation and promotion of exchange in the field of educational services were considered:

Increasing student mobility
Increasing the mobility of educational institutions
Increased mobility of researchers
Enhancing the existing network of bilateral agreements
