Invitation letter

To issue an invitation to enter a foreign citizen, you must provide the following documents (3 months before the desired date of entry of a foreign citizen):

1. 2 (two) copies of the passport of a foreign citizen (readable)*
2. Application form (filled out by a foreigner)
3. Application for invitation issuance
4. A copy of the order on the event with the participation of foreign citizens, or a presentation from the head of the structural unit with a description of the goals, terms and conditions of admission of a foreign citizen (in these documents it is mandatory to have information about the proposed location of foreign citizens in the Russian Federation.

* passport must be valid for at least 1.5 years after arrival to Russia for work and academic types of visa (1,5 years before expiration date).

An invitation is the basis for issuing a visa to a foreign citizen. To obtain a visa, it is enough for a foreign citizen to present a short printed form of an electronic invitation to a consular post or diplomatic mission of the Russian Federation in the city indicated in the electronic invitation.

	Documents according to the above list are submitted personally by the person in charge to the Visa and Registration Office (B 552; tel. 265 24 24 (add. 2208)). Documents submitted in electronic form and not registered in the Visa and Registration Office in the book of accounting will not be considered.
	Accompanying family members of foreign students are not provided with visa support and places in hostels of Far Eastern Federal University.

Information for organizations inviting foreign citizens

When filling out an application to the Visa and Registration Office for an invitation for entry of foreign citizens entering for the purpose of scientific, technical, cultural cooperation (participants in conferences, round tables and other events), as well as those invited for the purpose of WORK, it is necessary to attach to the Application a copy of the order for the event (about reception of a delegation, specialist, etc.) due to the fact that payment of invitations for this category of incoming foreign citizens should be made by bank transfer from the monetary funds of the estimate to the order. If there is no order at the time of filing the invitation documents and payment of state duty in cash, checks for payment cannot be considered as a financial statement.

Visit Consular Section of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation to learn about international agreements concluded with the Russian Federation (for example, the Agreement between the Russian Federation and the European Community on the facilitation of issuing visas to citizens of the Russian Federation and the European Union of May 25, 2006), on the basis of which invitations to foreign citizens from a number of countries are issued according to a simplified scheme - based on the letter of invitation on the letterhead of the host organization.
