Transfer Students Admission
Far Eastern Federal University welcomes students choosing to continue their education with us.
This page is to guide you through the admission process.
Admission
The main requirement is that a candidate should be an active student at the moment (i.e. we can't accept expelled or graduated students for transfer to an undergraduate course). Otherwise, it is only possible to join the 1st year.
The list of documents required for the transfer:
- Academic certificate (академическая справка о всём периоде обучения) from your current university, with marks and amount of study hours/credits for subjects;
- Personal data processing consent (согласие на обработку персональных данных) (please click here to download the form, and please click here for the filling sample: page 1 and page 2);
- Passport copy/scan;
- Application (please click here to download the form, and please click here for the filling sample). In the application, please specify the program you would like to transfer to.

When sending a letter to this address, please make sure you are using your real name as the sender's name, and please also specify the letter subject.
Please note that is may take some time for your request to be processed; the whole transfer procedure can take up to 1 month.
Is it possible to reassess subject passed?
Some of the subjects you already passed will be re-assessed with marks automatically upon your transfer to our university. It is necessary that the amount of academic hours/credits you had in your previous university matches our study plan (or is greater). It also depends on which year of education you would like to transfer to. This is why we require an academic certificate from your previous university.
What is the best moment for transfer?
If you would like to transfer, the best way is to initiate the procedure about 1 month before the semester starts, to be in time for classes. For example, if you would like to transfer to the spring semester, please message us before the end of January. If you would like to transfer to the autumn semester – then not later than mid-August. A transfer in the middle of the semester is also possible, but puts a heavier pressure on a student, as they will need to catch up with the program and pass the study plans difference, quite often.
