The main wear factors of concrete structures in the climatic conditions
of the Republic of Burundi

Abstract. The article, as a result of a review of various studies, shows the main directions and problems in the development of the construction industry in the Republic of Burundi, due to specific climatic conditions. The factors of concrete wear under the action of the operating environment are identified, the mechanisms and causes of the destruction of concrete under short-term and long-term exposure to the aquatic environment and high temperature are established. The possibilities of creating concrete using local raw materials, which will be operated in conditions of high temperature with constant and variable contact with water in relation to the conditions of the Republic of Burundi, are considered.
