Efficiency of the heat exchange equipment of a marine diesel engine in static and dynamic process

Abstract. The article analyzes the effectiveness of a standard connection of heat exchangers and proposes an alternative option for connecting heat exchangers according to the criterion of increasing the average dynamic temperature of the medium along the course of the cooling outboard water. To compare the standard and alternative options for connecting heat exchangers along the outboard water, the total exergy losses of each of the options in the static mode of operation were calculated. Also presented are the results of calculating the relative length of the transient curve due to a sharp increase in the load of the main engine by 20% of the nominal. Based on these calculations, a comparative analysis of the standard and alternative options for connecting heat exchangers was made.
