Design and strength analysis of the vessel's bow ramp
Abstract. The article discusses issues of landing vessel transport’s bow ramp design. The importance of constructing landing vessel transport for delivering equipment and cargo to undeveloped shores of the Vietnamese sea, along with designing its ramps was shown. Simultaneously, the article outlines the experience of designing and damage of vessel bow ramp. Schemes of a two-section bow ramp for the vessel have been developed. Additionally, structural stress-strain calculations using the finite element method were conducted under three design cases. The calculation results showed that the maximum stress levels in the bow ramp’s structural elements complied with the Register's standards in all assessed cases. The design solution was successfully implemented in the spring of 2024 and achieved the specified technical requirements.
