The necessity of specialised petro-physical investigations in the course of a thermo-chemical processing of coal seams
The article deals with the necessity of specialised petro-physical investigations to be performed in the course of an underground thermo-chemical processing of coal seams with regard for the peculiarities of rock thermo transformations at various stages of seam treatment. The further development of the remote technologies of the real time monitoring of fire face advance is impossible without knowing physical characteristics of coal and those of country rocks in concrete places of the thermo-chemical processing of coal seams. Considering the general state of the study of the coal seams treated thermo-chemically, the article presents the available information in a systemised way and the assessment of the prospects for petro-physical investigations in various places of seam burning.
Key words: coal, petro-physics, magnetic, electrical properties, thermal activity.
