Reduction of accidents in places of concentration of road accidents (on the example of the Trans-Baikal Territory)

Abstract. The analysis is made and the characteristic of the places of concentration of accidents on potentially dangerous sections of roads of federal significance that are under the operational management of the FKU Uprdor "Transbaikalia" according to standardized methods is given. The main types and causes of road accidents have been identified. A set of measures has been developed to eliminate the causes of an accident, taking into account the technical parameters of the site, the type of accident committed, and the intensity of traffic. The proposed measures to improve traffic safety have been tested on a real section of the road. With the help of observation methods and accident statistics, a 100% reduction in accident rate was recorded.
