Concrete technology for structures of offshore structures under conditions
of frost exposure

Abstract. The analysis of the modern concept of designing the technology of durable concrete for offshore structures is given and the problems arising in the implementation of design solutions at the construction stage are considered. It is shown that the service life of concrete in the zone of variable water level of 100 years in the conditions of the sea coast of the Far Eastern seas can be provided with classical technological solutions based on the generally accepted provisions of the structural theory of cement concrete. The lack of operational methods for monitoring quality indicators at the stages of preparation of the concrete mixture and concrete at the stage of acceptance of structures into operation reduces the reliability of the predicted service life of concrete established at the design stage. The determining critical indicator for the durability of concrete in the variable level zone under frost exposure is the type of capillary pore system at the beginning of frost exposure. It is proposed to assess the readiness of concrete to frost as an indicator of structural maturity. The implementation of standardized indicators at the construction stage is possible provided that the critical maturity of the concrete structure is ensured by the beginning of frost exposure. The methodological basis for determining the critical maturity of the concrete structure is given.
