Iron-containing minerals in the coal of the deposits of the Russian Far East
The article presents the quantitative and qualitative analysis of the iron-containing minerals in the coal and in some types of rock of the Russian Far-Eastern coal formations according to ash content and mineral composition. The received data on the content and distribution of iron-containing substances are of interest for petro-physical researches of coal magnetic properties under the action of high temperatures. The results of the researches may be used to elaborate distance monitoring technologies for advancing fire face when working out coal beds by way of prescribed burning.
Key words: coal, iron-containing mineral, Far-Eastern coal deposits.
