Manufacturing techniques of the shaping equipment for large-sized composite panels at an aircraft enterprise

The article presents the technical solution proposed by the staff of the Aircraft Enterprise Progress for designing and producing the shaping industrial equipment from polymeric composite materials when producing large-sized line-forming thin-walled power panels of aircrafts with the intent to minimise the machining of the working surfaces of the equipment. Consistently described are the results of the stage-by-stage work on designing the structure and manufacturing techniques of complex large-sized equipment. The resulting solution may be applied in practice at the enterprises of aviation industry and introduced at the AAK Progress to produce the shaping surface of the large-sized equipment of an average-sized helicopter. It may be also introduced to produce other equipment designs in the aerospace industry as well as the shipbuilding one.

Key words: shaping surface, ribbed panel, polymeric paste, shaping crust.
