Transformation of the elastic energy of the source zones of disastrous events into the kinetic energy of their structural elements

The paper presents the energy approach to the description of the formation and realisation of the source zones of disastrous events (earthquakes, rock bursts, and other dynamic manifestations of rock pressure) in high-stressed rock masses structured as hierarchies of blocks. The basis for the approach are the recent achievements in the field of pendulum wave theory, the energy condition for geomechanical quasi- resonances, and S.N. Zhurkov’s kinetic concept of the strength of solids. The author introduces a new notion: the interference mechanism of the origination of different dynamic events as a result of interaction between global geodynamic fields and local geomechanical fields when working in mineral mines.
