and WON the FIRST PLACE at the AQUAROBOTECH-2018 CHALLENGE
Currently, underwater research and robotics are among the priority areas for technological development in the Russian Federation. These developments are necessary both to strengthen the country's defense, as well as for geological exploration and underwater gas and oil production. Given the importance of works in this area for the development of existing scientific, technical, industrial and educational potential, national and international competitions are held in various classes of underwater vehicles.
This year, the first All-Russian competition in underwater robotics AquaRoboTech-2018 took place in FEFU. The student team of FEFU took first place in this competition among the student remotely operated vehicles.
The article presents the development of the Millennium Falcon remotely operated vehicle. Authors analyze experience gained during preparation. The technical characteristics of the vehicle and its design and main features are described in detail. Briefly describes the competition AquaRoboTech-2018.
