Dependence of frequency coefficient of electrolyte coating on operating time in dry friction mode for onboard turbines
Abstract: This article investigates the increase of reliability of gas-lubricated bearings on onboard turbines. The author presents the experimental results of determination of tribology characteristics of the protective coating at its various technological parameters. Results of the experiment confirm the possibility of prediction of protective coating failure using the analysis of change of the frequency coefficient. Protective coating was formed with plasma electrolytic oxidation method.
