Comparative analysis of the results of numerical and physical experiments
on study of gas-lubricated radial bearing properties

Abstract: The article presents the results of physical experiments of approving the theoretical model which accounts for results of numerical modelling of the bearing capacity of gas-lubricated radial bearings. The description of the experimental stand and the methodology of the experiment are given. The results are presented in the form of curves showing the dependence of the eccentricity of the shaft axis (trunnion) from boost pressure.

Keywords: radial bearing, bearing capacity, gas lubrication, model, numerical and physical experiment
