Y.S. Khotimchenko  – the doctor of biological science, professor, Honored science worker of RF, the member of RAS on the environment UN program.   

Y.S. Khotimchenko is the Head of joint Scientific-educational center PSMU-FEFU-NSCMB FEB RAS “Fundamental medicine and pharmacology”. The member of the  editorial team of the following scientific journals “The Sea Biology”, “Pacific medicine Journal”, the chairman of the dissertation board on medical science at Pacific State Medical University (specialization 14.03.06 Pharmacology, clinical pharmacology), the member of the dissertation board on biological science at Far Eastern Federal University (specialization 03.01.06 Biotechnology including bionanotechnology).

35 doctorate and candidate dissertations were defended under the leadership of Y.S. Khotimchenko.

Y.S. Khotimchenko specialises in the field of biotechnology of medicines, biologically active food supplements, functional food. Hirsch index  – 17.

Author and coauthor of more than 200 scientific works,120 of them are scientific articles, 12 patents, 4 monographs.

The program objectives:

The preparation of the highest category specialists for the new types objectives solving in professional, organization-management, scientific-research activity in the sphere of healthcare system in order to provide social healthcare on the following directions:

- the public health improving on the base of forecasting and scientific prevention;

- organization and management in the field of social healthcare and practical work in governmental, municipal, and non-governmental organizations;  

- the public incidence and death decrease;

- the management of life quality (including different chronic diseases);

- human ecology, the creation of test-systems and biochemical diagnostic, biostatistics, ecological risks of different abiotic nature which make influence on health;

- toxicology, physiology and biochemistry of stressful influential factors of the environment;

- the fight against very dangerous infections spread, clinical, infection and molecular epidemiology;

- behavioral physiology and behavioral anomalies prevention; 

- professional activity and professional health support.

The target audience of the program:

The program is designed for people who have work experience in healthcare or who would like to work in the field of health and healthcare, who would like to obtain new professional skills by deepening and expanding the knowledge base in the sphere of patient care, social healthcare, treatment of chronic and infectious diseases.

Many students studying at such programs already have a Medical university degree, but the program doesn't have profile restrictions. The preliminary terms are the Bachelor and/or Specialist degree.

In the frame of educational program there is a cooperation with the leading medical bodies and organization of Primorskyi region such as Medical Center of FEFU and scientific-research institute of epidemiology and microbiology named by G.P. Somov, the Clinics of Grigorenko.

- Kalinin Andrei Veniaminovich - the hygiene and epidemiology expert, doctor of medicine, the employee of scientific-research institute of epidemiology and microbiology named by G.P. Somov;

- Schelkanov Mikhail Yurievich - doctor of medicine, the director of SRI of epidemiology and microbiology named by G.P. Somov of Russian Consumer Supervision, the head of Epidemiology, Microbiology, Parasitology Department with International scientific-educational center of biological safety of Russian Consumer Supervision in the Institute of Life science and biomedicine of FEFU, the head of Virology laboratory in FNC of terrestrial biota biodiversity of Eastern Asia of FEB RAS.  

The program alumni field of work 

The graduates of the program can get employment in state and federal bodies in the healthcare sphere and in private organizations. Their initial place of employment can become the Department of public healthcare, healthcare management body, SRI in the field of social healthcare, health education body, practical healthcare organization.   

Possible employment function: the development and realization of clinical researches, projects and events, directed on preservation and strengthening of public health, diseases and virus infections prevention.
