Application of the porous body model in the tasks of assessing the wind comfort of pedestrian zones
Abstract. The paper presents a verification case for the porous body model and a quasi-one-dimensional flow, implemented in Ansys CFX. A methodology for determining the porous body parameters through numerical modelling of a flow over a lattice in a channel is proposed and verified for a three-dimensional flow over a lattice barrier. The practical effectiveness of the methodology is demonstrated for the pedestrian comfort analysis of the "Aquatoria" residential complex in Moscow with the windproof structures accounted.
