Investigation of the strength of the dry dock gate of the SSK Zvezda
Abstract. During the design and construction of a dry dock for the shipbuilding complex in Bolshoy Kamen, Russian specialists had disagreements with designers from China on the issues of ensuring the strength of the dock gate. As a result of the analysis of the project documentation, design flaws were identified, in particular, hard points. FEFU representatives were involved in solving the issues that arose. The paper considers the results of assessing the strength of the dock gate. Practical recommendations are offered.
Due to the large volume of materials received, the results of the study are presented in two articles. This work is the first of them. The second article is devoted to the calculation of the design of the main (central) part of the dock gate.
